Brian Walton's news and commentary on the St. Louis Cardinals (TM) and their minor league system

A Daybreak Dose of Walton on the Cardinals

Very early Wednesday, I joined host Dan Buffa on his St. Louis morning radio show, Daybreak Dose, on @590TheFan and @InsideSTL.

Daybreak-Dose-200What I thought would be a quick 10-15 minute spot turned into a fast-paced 25-minute romp through a number of St. Louis Cardinals-related subjects. Though it had to end, I wished there had been even more time.

We began with the Chris Correa-Houston Astros hacking story, moved into why I no longer see Adam Wainwright as the team’s ace and why I believe any worry about potential discord from Carlos Martinez’ upcoming arbitration hearing is overblown. Other subjects include the Cardinals’ roster crunch, adding a fifth outfielder, why I think Matt Adams’ trade market is soft as well as my 2017 outlook on outfield prospect Harrison Bader.

You can catch Daybreak Dose from 5-7 a.m. every Monday through Friday on Radio 590 The Fan in St. Louis.
