Brian Walton's news and commentary on the St. Louis Cardinals (TM) and their minor league system

Cardinals Draft and Minors Talk on InsideSTL Radio 920

On Friday morning, I joined hosts Randy Moehlman and Victor Faust, who were filling in for Frank Cusumano, on The Press Box show, on InsideStLcom and CBS Sports Radio 920 in St. Louis.

The subject was the St. Louis Cardinals draft and their minor league system. We began with a look at the organization’s 2016 draft and the controversy surrounding the selection of 23rd overall pick Delvin Perez. The strengths and weaknesses of the system and some key emerging prospects, including Alex Reyes and Carson Kelly, of course, filled up a majority of the remainder of the 15-minute interview.
