On Tuesday morning, I joined Josh Houchins on WGEM ESPN 1440 Radio. The subject was news about the St. Louis Cardinals’ spring training with a specific focus on the potential of Aledmys Diaz becoming the replacement starting shortstop for injured Jhonny Peralta.
The possibility of Magneuris Sierra leading off one day, the evolving leadoff role, Matt Carpenter’s strengths and Mike Leake’s initial performances were also among the hot topics, as was Houchins’ particular interest in prospect pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon.
Josh is the host of WGEM SportsCenter, the only sports talk show in the Quincy, Illinois area, on-air from 7:00–9:00 a.m. every weekday morning. You can learn more at wgem.com and follow Josh (@JWHooch) and the show on Twitter at @wgemesc.
Sister station WGEM 105.1 FM continues to be a member of the Cardinals radio network. If you live in the Tri-State area, make sure you tune in to game action all season long.
