Peoria’s Dozer Park Going National

Three nationally-televised Minor League Baseball games in June should hold special interest to St. Louis Cardinals fans.

Minor League Baseball fans should be pleased to learn of a new agreement to put a game of the week on national television each Sunday starting May 31. The docket on the American Sports Network (ASN) will include the “Minor League Baseball Sunday Showcase” and two Class-A All-Star Games.

For St. Louis Cardinals fans specifically, three of the 15 announced games will be of special interest. They are all within an eight-day period late next month, including one at Dozer Park in Peoria:

  • Saturday, June 20: Florida State League All-Star Game, hosted by St. Lucie Mets (Mets), Port St. Lucie, Florida, 7 p.m. ET
  • Tuesday, June 23: Midwest League All-Star Game, hosted by Peoria Chiefs (Cardinals), Peoria, Illinois, 7 p.m. ET
  • Sunday, June 28: Springfield Cardinals (Cardinals) at Arkansas Travelers (Angels), 7 p.m. ET

ASN’s on-air broadcast crew consists of play-by-play man Dave Armstrong and analysts and former MLB players Keith Moreland and Brian McRae, the latter the son of former Cardinals hitting coach Hal McRae.

The full slate of Minor League Baseball games to be televised on ASN can be viewed here. Check ASN’s website for their local affiliate in your area. In St. Louis, it is ABC30 KDNL-TV.
