Cardinals Hold Third Place in Oddsmakers’ NL View

The St. Louis Cardinals overcame mid-season injuries and with the help of the Milwaukee Brewers’ swoon, are now the overwhelming favorite to take the National League Central, according to new odds released on Monday from bovada.lv.

While there has been little change in the last three weeks in the pecking order across the NL, the surging Nationals have about pulled even with the favored Dodgers, while Pittsburgh remains a very viable wild card candidate.

In the AL, the Athletics have fallen from the very top of the Junior Circuit list at the start of August to a mere wild card contender, while the Tigers are the clear favorite over the Royals in the only division race, in the Central.

This Cards team is too inept on offense to be a serious Champion contender.PRETENDER instead of contender.Pirates refuse to lose while Cards bats continue to snooze.Still got a 1.5 game lead facing Arrieta who has had good results versus Cards.
