Probably not a good idea (from the organization’s point of view) to highlight an aspect of the game which is not a strength right now. Of course, every aspect of the game is not a strength right now.

Personnel changes today, after last nights fiasco. Lyons is now said to be injured, how else could he give up 9 to the Cubs?
Mo showed he is not interested in investing $1MM in Aarsdma, we preferred minimum wage Rondon, a complete rookie.
Old Choate looked so ancient last night, we brought up another lefty in Freeman, who has not been pitching well for Memphis, but at least looks young enough to be an athlete.

Faced with being sent back to AAA, pitchers sometimes discover and report hitherto unknown injuries. Then they land on the major league DL, getting paid more than if back in the minors. IIRC, this happened once with Ottavino. It may have happened again this time with Lyons.

Jumbo, even for you, today’s comments are especially misinformed.

Freeman had a couple of rough outings early, but in the last month, since April 13, he has a 0.82 ERA. 15 strikeouts against three walks and just one run in 11 innings. Six straight scoreless appearances currently. He last allowed an earned run on April 20.

I have to assume you decide you don’t like guys so make up a story line that suits your opinion. The rest of us can easily check the facts. You should do the same.

Eve n Wainwright can`t escape the Cubs juggernaut that is running rampant over this pitiful excuse for a Cards team.

  4. Bw52 says:

Looks like the wild pitch ad the error are the Cards biggest offensive threats.Disgusting.

  5. Bw52 says:

    Wow.MM stinks.Team stinks.

Mo says the performance is “concerning” and “not acceptable.” I have to agree that Mo is correct, when he says this. Adjustments will be needed.
