Just one week ago, prior to the St. Louis Cardinals 2014 home opener, the club’s Hall of Fame and Museum held its grand opening celebration. The new facility is located in Cardinals Nation at Ballpark Village, right across from Busch Stadium.
Following the dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony, a highlight of the day was the VIP tour of the museum’s exhibits, hosted personally by team Chairman Bill DeWitt Jr. and President Bill DeWitt III. (My photos of the day can be viewed here.)
One of the core group of Cardinals staffers who had worked literally years in preparation for the opening is Manager, Stadium Tours and Museum Outreach Brian Finch. In the following interview, conducted last Tuesday, Finch discusses the planning put into the museum, its grand opening, what we should expect to see going forward and much more!
