Cardinal Talk: KXnO FOX Sports Radio: Opener and beyond

Weekly St. Louis Cardinals-focused chat on KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460 in Des Moines.

In our first regular-season installment of 2014, I joined Ken Miller and Jim Brinson on KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460 in Des Moines in our weekly series to discuss the St. Louis Cardinals, “Cardinal Talk.”

We touched on the start to the Cardinals regular season in Cincinnati as well as summarizing their competitors in the National League Central Division. This week only, we had this midweek chat plus will be back in our regular Friday afternoon slot at the end of the week.

Once again in 2014, Cardinals followers in central Iowa will be able catch St. Louis Cardinals radio broadcasts on KXnO as well as my regular segment each week throughout the season, either over the air or via streaming. Or, if you miss it live, you can always catch the replay right here at The Cardinal Nation blog.

Good win for Mo and Mike on 4/3.
Reds go up by 3, costly signee Peralta socks 2 run HR. And we hung on for the W, despite a roster including iffy relievers (Neshek, Butler, Maness). Good for Mo.
Matheny introduced Jay into lineup and he socked a double. Good for Mike.
Lynn was rocked early, hung in there and got thru 5. Good job.

And it’s good to see Adams hitting to both sides of the field. Hopefully he keeps that up.
