Brian Walton's news and commentary on the St. Louis Cardinals (TM) and their minor league system

WHO News Talk Radio: More Cardinals talk on a new stage

St. Louis Cardinals-focused chat on WHO News Talk Radio 1040 in Des Moines.

In my initial appearance, I joined hosts Chuck Reed and former Iowa State head football coach Jim Walden on their weekly Sunday night show, “Two Guys Named Jim” on WHO News Talk Radio 1040 in Des Moines.

Of course, spring training and specifically, the St. Louis Cardinals season-opening roster was the focus of our conversation.

Once again in 2014, Cardinals followers in central Iowa will be able catch Cardinals radio broadcasts on WHO’s sister station, KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460, along with my regular Friday segment each week throughout the season, the latter either over the air or via streaming. Or, if you miss it live, you can always catch the replay right here at The Cardinal Nation blog.

    Scout forums outage

Late Monday afternoon, two hard drives failed in the storage area network that houses the Scout Forums database. All forums went down and may not be restored until around 1 a.m. CT Tuesday. Any forum posts made during the day Monday will be lost, as the system is being restored from the last available back-up taken early Monday.

The main site remains available. Only the message boards are affected.

Obviously, this is disappointing. We deeply apologize.

If I didn’t know better, I would say today is April Fools Day. I upgraded my antispam blocker to a new release over the weekend, but see it was too aggressive, blocking several regulars. Hopefully it is fixed now. Sorry for the double whammy.
