Cardinal Talk: KXnO FOX Sports Radio: Setting up the NLCS

Weekly St. Louis Cardinals-focused chat on KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460 in Des Moines.

Late Friday afternoon, I joined Ken Miller and Jim Brinson on KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460 in Des Moines in our weekly series to discuss the St. Louis Cardinals, “Cardinal Talk.”

Though we briefly touched on the National League Division Series, front and center is the Cardinals matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Championship Series, opening Friday night. I explained why I feel the key factor will be the Cardinals young pitching against the Dodgers’ red-hot hitting.

Cardinals followers in central Iowa can again catch St. Louis Cardinals radio broadcasts on KXnO (or on WHO when football programming conflicts) as well as my regular segment each week throughout the season, either over the air or via streaming. Or, if you miss it live, you can always catch the replay right here at The Cardinal Nation blog.

  1. JumboShrimp says:

Post season OPS for Jay during 2011, 2012, and thus far in 2013: 474. Jay is the anti-Beltran.

In 2011, TLR took Jay out by Game 7, with Schumaker starting in CF. Kershaw against Jay is not a great matchup Matheny is choosing.
