Cardinal Talk: KXnO FOX Sports Radio: Heading West

Weekly St. Louis Cardinals-focused chat on KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460 in Des Moines.

Late Thursday afternoon, I joined Ken Miller and Jim Brinson on KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460 in Des Moines in our regular series to discuss the St. Louis Cardinals, “Cardinal Talk.” This time, we discussed the recent Texas and Houston series and looked ahead to Oakland and Anaheim.

Cardinals followers in central Iowa can again catch St. Louis Cardinals radio broadcasts on KXnO as well as my regular segment each week throughout the season, either over the air or via streaming. Or, if you miss it live, you can always catch the replay right here at The Cardinal Nation blog.

I just read an intelligent and well thought out post on Cards Talk (imagine that) about Pete Kozma. The poster basically says Kozma is an adequate shortstop for our needs (good defense, not so good offense) and that the situation could be helped by giving him more rest. Both he and Carpenter have played the most innings of anyone on the team. He suggested bringing up Jackson to spell both Kozma and Carpenter at SS and 2B. Of course there is a roster problem with that. The most obvious solution is to get rid of Wiggy. Please, please, MO. Pretty please. Can we give him an honorary coaching job and get him off the roster?

Truth be known……Pete has on of the best swings on the team……. what he has is no security…….. Pete isn’t the problem………Jackson isn’t the solution……… Wiggy is going to be packing material for an egg or two……… A’s and Anaheim will clear the air a bit……..

Dodgers looking at Nolasco so intently?????? this early???? the game is at hand…… you know Florida would like cash…….. so whats the hold up? Now the fun starts…………

A-Rod knows his position ………. or does he?………. Surgeon says yes………… NY team doctors really have a say here?????????………… concerning an insurance claim at 20+ million a year……. right!!!!!!!!!
So why the soap opera????????? Why doesn’t Cashman say “good news” to the tweet? ..he knows it really means nothing… Does it really serve his interests to draw attention to this situation? with an F’sclamation?????????? And why is Bill and MLB sweating it?………………… give it some thought………..
