St. Louis Sports Co is pleased to announce that St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Joe Kelly will be signing autographs in the store this Thursday, April 11 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

$20 autograph tickets are on sale exclusively from St. Louis Sports Co – conveniently located two doors down from Cheesecake Factory in the Chesterfield Mall.

Bring in your own item to be signed or stop by the store and pick up one of the many items for sale. They include official Major League baseballs, Cardinals batting helmets and 8×10 or 11×14 photos (while supplies last). St. Louis Sports Co will also take pre-orders for 16×20 photos and other items. Speaking of 8×10 photos, The Cardinal Nation blog readers are invited to participate in a special drawing. St. Louis Sports Co has donated an 8×10 signed by Kelly to be awarded to one lucky person.

The winner will be selected randomly from those who post their interest in the comment area below anytime between now and noon CT Thursday, April 11. (One entry per person allowed.)

If you can’t make it into the store to pre-order your Kelly autograph tickets in person, you can also purchase them from St. Louis Sports Co over the phone at 636-439-1830, or email them at

    I’m in.

  2. kray66 says:

I’m in as well. Wonder if he’ll inscribe it with “The Baby Giraffe?”

  3. crdswmn says:

Jered Weaver is out 4-6 weeks with a broken left elbow. Tough break for the Angels

What do you bet Mo gets a lot of phone calls from teams looking for an arm? 😉

Speaking of that, anybody know if the Angels have any decent middle infield prospects?

    • blingboy says:

Arte isn’t worried, he has the best .211 hitter in baseball.

      • Bw52 says:

Why pitch to AP when Josh Hamilton can`t hit anything right now.AP has 9 walks already.Hamilton has 11 Ks already and is hitting .138.

        • blingboy says:

Last year the Angels proved that they would leave a guy in the lineup slot he was hired for no matter how deep and long of slump he is in. And no matter how many games they lose waiting for the guy to break out. I expect them to do exactly the same this year, with exactly the same result.

  4. JumboShrimp says:

Wow, Lynn is pitching out of this world. I worry he will not pace himself and end up exhausted. Its still impressive, however, Lance.

  5. blingboy says:

It took the med staff 3 weeks to figure out Motte had a torn ligament. I expect that by now. Truly, I am surprised players don’t just automatically get somebody else to check things out once the Cards staff has finished bleeding them and making them drink cod liver oil.

    • JumboShrimp says:

Whatever we gave Furcal, we need to way up the dosage for Motte, because he is useful.

      • blingboy says:

Up the doseage, yes, I agree completely. Eye of two newts and toe of two frogs. Dr. Paletta is probably whipping it up as we speak.

        • JumboShrimp says:

Paletta is crazy like a Fox. Mo was sick of watching Furcal play SS, so Paletta came up with a genius solution, a pseudo medicine certain not to fix Raffy’s elbow. This preserved the SS job for Super Pete, making Mo happy.

  6. JumboShrimp says:

    A study in contrasts.

We are trailing by 1 run. Big Matt pinch hits and nails a 2 run ding dong. Very manly stuff.

Then there are runners on 2nd and third, just one out. Hit a fly ball and plate another. Matheny calls on Mr. Reliable, Old Wiggy, in the clutch. But horrors, what an upset, Old Wiggy is unable to put the ball in play. He strikes out. The next guy is out and the rally is snuffed, all thanks to Old Wiggy!

  7. kray66 says:

I’m gone from my desk for twenty minutes to meet with a client and come back to an 8-0 lead. It’s a good problem I guess.

  8. Bw52 says:

Way to go Jake.Shut out the scumbag POS vermin puke Reds.Beat them down and squash them like roaches they are.

  9. Brian Walton says:

With Lohse and Brewers rained out at Wrigley today, it sets him up to face the Cards on Friday. Appropriate his opponent will be the pitcher who replaced him in the rotation, Shelby Miller.

  10. Nutlaw says:

Adams and Carpenter are tearing it up! Good to see the young guys starting off strong.

  11. crdswmn says:

Well, bling we now have a successor to the Matt Holliday belly ball. Octavio Dotel just trapped a ball with his nuts. 🙂

  12. Brian Walton says:

The winner is kray66. Congratulations and check your email for a note from me.
