Once again, I joined Rob Rains and B.J. Rains on The Sports Zone Show on Sports Radio 1380 AM in St. Louis this week. Even if you are outside the St. Louis area, you can always catch the show’s live internet stream for free.
Our focus this time was on the Cardinals prospects playing in the Arizona Fall League, specifically Oscar Taveras and Ryan Jackson, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals’ managerial search.
In addition to their weekday show from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M CDT, catch Rob’s writings at RobRains.com and B.J.’s daily beat coverage of the St. Louis Cardinals at FOXSportsMidwest.com.

I saw on Rob Rains’ site where Freese has landed some gigs since his TV appearances. A guest star role on a network sitcom and a presenter on a country music awards show. Its like he’s a Yankees star or something. Hopefully he reacts to the success in a positive way, both in his personal life and professionally on the field next year. We need another celebrity to take the load off Albert.
bb, you need to dig around this site some more! Yesterday morning, I posted a clip of Freese and Erin Andrews at the CMAs and mentioned his TV sitcom appearance, too. They are on the post with the other videos of TLR’s and Freese’s TV appearances as I wanted to keep everything together for easier reference. Maybe that was a bad decision….
My digging is kind of hit and miss these days. Should have known you’d have it covered. But it will be interesting to see how the fame ingredient pans out for him. He seems to have it together. At least he isn’t hazarding himself playing hockey like our ace.
Guessing who the new manager could be is much more fun than wondering about where Albert could be next season.
Pujols could be another uniform. Or signed to a massive contract by the Cards.
The manager guessing game just seems more fun.
One is a sprint – over in a few days. I predict the other will be a marathon, dragging on into January.
The Pujols off-season could be hyped, long, and stressful, whatever the outcome. The manager choice may be gentler.
Jumbo-rumor has it Marlins owner really wants Albert.Read that the Marlins are really going to make a big offer to Albert. This could get very interesting real quick.
MLB will want to hype free agency and bids, get the fans stimulated in multiple cities. Free agents do not get much bigger than Albert.
