Cardinals live chat on FOX Sports Midwest Wednesday afternoon

The 16th and last of FOX Sports Midwest’s live chats of the 2010 season will be held throughout Wednesday afternoon’s Pirates-Cardinals series finale. Join in the interactive discussion with me and the FSM personalities.

You can participate via the frame below or through FOX Sports Midwest’s website.

In his first start since returning from Memphis, P.J. Walters (1-0, 7.83) faces former  Dodgers top prospect James McDonald (4-5, 4.09) as the 81-76 Cards try to salvage a winning 2010 record the day after having been formally eliminated from the post-season.

Wednesday’s first pitch is scheduled at 12:40 P.M. Central with pre-game starting at noon.

Good for PJ to put up that stat line! Even against the Pirates, that has to be a boost.

Yes, it was good for Walters and good for the Cards, too.

The Pirates on the road, late in another losing season, is not a great indicator, but Walters did much better than the super rich Lohse and Suppan, so that shows something useful.

I have always believed Walters could succeed in the majors, as a new Tewksbury. But he has struggled and Duncan has not seemed supportive.

If PJ can turn Dunc into a believer, he can get a chance to succeed. He had to have helped himself today.
